One never wins a game with God
strategy always fails
ending in a bitter defeat
the plan which it entails

a half-hearted desire of some
to live somewhat for God
don’t realize all the danger
upon the road they trod
____
because of what God says to man
from scripture one can find
that foolish man shall be humbled
which tries to outwit minds
____
as the Lord looks upon the heart
man looks to the outside
it is the heart that God will search
for motives one will hide
____
and when man knows something is wrong
to him it is a sin
but man will somehow justify
his lifestyle he walks in
____
but Jesus calls us to account
His Holy Spirit moves
conviction of disobedience
a crossroad one must choose
____
since God is calling His remnant
to walk a holy way
only the wise have repented
no games with God to play
